Hey, I'm Connie CEO of Lokktology Dreads

As a '70s baby, I always knew that I danced to a different beat than most. Creativity and art are at the core of my being.

22 yrs ago my first set of dreads,  was my poor attempt a wax-filled, backcombed messy blobs of matted hair. When I fell pregnant these had to go. They were gross !!  The 90s were not so kind.

Fast forward now at age 50 , I now rock the dreads I always dreamed of. Natural, nothing but love and crochet technique.

I have  been doing lokks privately and professionally for over 10 years.   Whilst working on my own dreads I absorbed myself in  dreaducation via  certificate courses, generosity of knowledge , time and support.  on offer by awesome Australian dreadlock artists . that supported my direction to become a career loctician and cultivate my unique style and creative edge.

I am extremely passionate about helping each of my clients navigate their unique dread journey, to provide superior service and create lasting connections with  everyone that trusts me to care for their beautiful lokks.

Seeing a need in the Central Victorian region for a full service salon,  2023 I opened The Lokk Shop: Lokktology Dreads bricks and mortar salon.  which 2024 will see my offer more availability to clients , working towards a fulltime salon here in Bendigo, Vic. 

• I am also  a visual artist, mother, practicing yogi within the Satyananda tradition and a postie bike pirate .
